Sensors LNOP Blue Inf, LNOP TF-I, TC-I and LNCS TF-I, TC-I are not used for measurements in the presence of
movement.
8
Sensor LNOP YI is not used for measurements at low perfusion.
SENSORS
Use only Masimo oximetry sensors for SpO2 measurements.
The device provides operation with all sensors designed by Masimo for Masimo SET tech-
nology using the appropriate accessories (patient cables, adapters, connectors, etc.).
Before use, carefully read the LNOP
®
/ LNCS
®
sensor directions for use.
Tissue damage can be caused by incorrect application or use of an LNOP
®
/ LNCS
®
sensor,
for example by wrapping the sensor too tightly. Inspect the sensor site as directed in the
sensor Directions for Use to ensure skin integrity and correct positioning and adhesion of the
sensor.
Do not use damaged LNOP® / LNCS® sensors and patient cables. Do not immerse the
sensor in water, solvents, or cleaning solutions (the sensors and connectors are not water-
proof). Do not sterilize by irradiation, steam, or ethylene oxide. See the cleaning instructions
in the directions for use for reusable Masimo LNOP
®
/ LNCS
®
sensors.
When selecting an SpO2 sensor, make sure that the sensor used is appropriate for the pa-
tient category and overlap area. For more information on overlap areas, see the accompany-
ing operation instructions.
The tables (below) indicate some of the recommended sensor types, with the application ar-
ea and patient weight.
