2.6 IBP Measurement

To perform the calibration, click on the calibration button in the window for displaying the graph-
ical pressure curve of the corresponding channel (Fig. 2-37, position 3) and in the dialog box,
select the required action:
After starting the calibration, wait for the pressure reading to zero (about 20 s).
You can assign the type of pressure being measured using a label. For that click on the label
display field (Fig. 2-37, position 4) and in the window that appears (it. 1.3.18), click to select one
of the pressure types you are going to monitor:
ART
Systemic arterial pressure
PA Pulmonary artery pressure
CVP Central venous pressure
ICP Intracranial pressure
RAP Right atrial pressure
LAP Left atrial pressure
RVP Right ventricular pressure
UA Umbilical arterial pressure
For better visualization of pressure wave signals, set up a filter that emphasizes or smoothes
the wave details. To adjust the required filter band, click on the display field of this parameter
(Fig. 2-37, position 5) and select the required filter band in the appearing window (it. 1.3.18).
A narrower signal bandwidth (lower number) corresponds to a smoother signal. Wide bandwidth
allows to display higher frequency signals.
For more convenient and correct visualization of signals, select the offset and scale of IBP win-
dow required for each specific case. For that click on the scale display field (Fig. 2-37, position
1) and select the required display scale in the window that appears (it. 1.3.18)
The device has 2 views for digital parameters - the first display option is systolic/ diastolic (mean
pressure) - S / D (M). The second option is (Mean) Ripple Rate - (M) Rate.
To select a view, click on the display field of the digital values of the corresponding channel and
in the window that appears (it. 1.3.18) select the required view option.
