2.2 ECG Monitoring

2.2.6. Synthesis of ECG Leads
This feature allows to synthesize ECG in 12 standard leads using a five-electrode configuration.
ECG curves in 12 leads and corresponding measurements obtained from
lead synthesis are approximations to the standard 12-lead ECG.
Since these 12-lead ECGs are not exactly the same electrocardiograms that
are read from an electrocardiograph with a standard ECG, they shall not be
used for diagnostic interpretation.
Synthesis of 12 leads is possible using a five-electrode cable from the delivery set of the device.
Scheme of electrode application is shown in Figure 2-13.
Figure 2-13. Electrode placement at the synthesis of ECG leads
This option is enabled using the symbol for setting the ECG channel operat-
ing mode (it. 1.3.11): select the "S12" mode. When using the standard
scheme of applying electrodes, it is necessary to set the mode "Nrm".
After switching on the synthesis mode, you can select for displaying also V1 - V6 leads.
2.2.7. Features of the Operation with a Pacemaker (PM)
The device automatically detects the presence of pacemaker pulses.
Optionally, the device can be equipped with manual
activation of the “Pacemaker” function (see
Fig. 3-10, position 18) to detect the presence of pacemaker pulses.
In order to ensure the normal operation of the algorithms, the PM pulses in the signal are sup-
pressed. On the screen of the device these pulses are displayed in the form of markers, their
height is equal to the amplitude of the registered PM pulse. It is done to make pulses more vis-
ual and not dependent on the selected filtering mode.
