The output signal connector (J1001 – J1004) does not indicate the power status of a
dual module. Rather, each dual module channel has a
POWER GOOD
signal that
indicates if there is a voltage on the channel output pins.

The
POWER GOOD
signal is the unbiased open collector of an optocoupler that is
available on the module signal connector J1 via the collector on the positive PG pin
and the emitter on the negative PG pin.
When there is a voltage present on the output pins of the output channel, the
transistor of the optocoupler is turned on. If the output drops out of regulation, the
transistor turns off.
To monitor the
POWER GOOD
status of a channel, the positive PG pin should be
pulled up to a reference voltage with a pull-up resistor. The pull-up resistor should be
chosen to limit collector current to 0.5 mA or less. For example, if the reference
voltage is 5 V, the pull-up resistor should be 10 kΩ or higher.
