Encrypting backups
Security is always a consideration when performing any type of backup. Placing backups
on local computer drives or on the Internet backup site can mean making files more
easily accessible to others, and can increase the chances of unauthorized access to your
private data.
In order to secure your backup data, the Magnia SG20 offers the ability to encrypt the
contents of a backup. This encryption is powerful, and is extremely difficult to reverse
without your password.
In order to encrypt your backups, you must enable this feature and specify a password.
