Expansion cards
The system board supports PCI expansion cards. To configure the system for new
devices, refer to
System Configuration Setup
on page 69.
Expansion slot hierarchy

Set an appropriate IRQ level for the expansion card.
Installing expansion cards

Remove the bezel and side panel. For instructions, see
Removing and installing the
bezel and side panel
on page 31.

Remove the expansion slot cover protecting the slot where you are going to install
the expansion card. To do this, press the cover in the direction of the arrow shown in
the illustration below. Save the cover for future use.
Removing an expansion slot cover
NOTE: Some expansion cards require you to change their jumper or DIP switch
settings. Refer to the manufacturer’s manual for the correct settings.
NOTE: Only PCI cards with a maximum rating of 25 watts may be used in the PCI
slot.
Only devices with a maximum rating of 20 watts may be used in the 5.25-inch bays
and the 3.5-inch bays.
