Trim Dancer Control
Introduction
The G3’s dancer can be configured to act in two ways : independent of a master line reference (unlimited
frequency adjustment) or as a trim off of a master line reference (+/- 12.5% trim max). This guideline will
discuss the application of a dancer that trims the drive’s output frequency around a master line reference.
See Application Guideline 27, Independent Dancer Control for discussion of the other type of dancer
application. For this guideline, the drive is configured to follow a 4-20 mA reference. See related
Guideline 24 (PID) for more information.

Set the micro switch immediately to the right of the phone jack on the control board to the 5 volt or 10 volt position as appropriate for
your dancer. The other micro switch should be in the ‘I’ position for this example.
