Generally, the system is most sensitive to the integral term and the notch filter
settings. Fig. 5.4 shows how increasing the integral beyond an optimum value
results in unnecessary overshoot. The same settings with a large step size, e.g.
200 µm, could result in a much higher overshoot. Therefore, for steps larger than
50 µm, the integral should be reduced for optimum performance.
