The instrument can be configured for 

either

 wired or wireless networking, not both.

If a Thermo Fisher Scientific service representative is to install the instrument:

• If the instrument will be connected to a LAN, an active, tested network jack must be in place before

the scheduled installation date.

• A representative from your information technologies department must be available during the

installation to help connect the instrument to your network.

Required materials to network the instrument:

• Wired—Ethernet cable of sufficient length with RJ45 connectors

– CAT5 cable for a 100 Mbps network connection
– CAT5e or CAT6 cable for a 1,000 Mbps network connection
