Thermo Scientific TZ-32 Zonal Rotor
Rotor Assembly — 16

RPZ-S Seal Attachment Assembly
4. 2. 9. Seal assembly
The seal assembly is mounted onto the rotor shaft as shown in
. The rotor, shaft, and adapter rotate, but the other
components do not rotate. The outer side of the holder cover is supported by the guard plate which will be described later.
The solution injected through the pipe is introduced through the body and Rulon seal into the rotor being spinned. One of
the two higher pipes projecting from the body, which is located on the outer wall side of the rotor, is led to the outer groove
of the Rulon seal and the outer wall of the rotor from the four septa vanes through the four holes of the Rulon seal. The
pipe in the rotor center is led to the four holes on top of the septa through the center of the shaft. The two lower pipes are
used for circulating cooling water into the interior of the body.
