Before you begin
First make sure the pedestals are properly conditioned. To test pedestal conditioning, clean the
pedestals with a new laboratory wipe, then pipette 1 μL DI H
2
O onto the lower pedestal. The
droplet should “bead up” as shown below. If it does not,

To run performance verification
1. From the instrument home screen, tap
(Diagnostics) and then tap
Performance Verification

A message asks for target absorbance values.
2. Enter each lot-specific target absorbance value from the label on the PV-1 ampoule in its
associated entry box and then tap
Done
.
3. Lift the instrument arm and clean the upper and lower pedestal with a new laboratory
wipe.
