B.5.2.2

Update IPMI LAN Configuration

This feature allows the user to decide if the BIOS should configure the IPMI setting
at next system boot. The options are

No

(default) and yes. If the option is set to Yes,

the user is allowed to configure the IPMI settings at next system boot.

B.5.2.3

Configuration Address Source

This feature allows the user to select the source of the IP address for this computer. If
Static is selected, you will need to know the IP address of this computer and enter it
to the system manually in the field. If DHCP is selected, the BIOS will search for a
DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server in the network that is attached
to and request the next available IP address for this computer. The options are

DHCP

(default) and Static. The following items are assigned IP addresses automati-

cally if DHCP is selected, or can be configured manually if Static is selected.

B.5.2.4

Station IP Address

This item displays the Station IP address for this computer. This should be in deci-
mal and in dotted quad form (

i.e.,

192.168.10.253).

B.5.2.5

Subnet Mask

This item displays the sub-network that this computer belongs to. The value of each
three-digit number separated by dots should not exceed 255.

B.5.2.6

Station MAC Address

This item displays the Station MAC address for this computer. MAC addresses are 6
two-digit hexadecimal numbers.

B.5.2.7

Router IP Address

This item displays the Router IP address for this computer. This should be in decimal
and in dotted quad form (

i.e.,

192.168.10.253).

Router MAC Address

This item displays the Router Mac address for this computer. Mac addresses are 6
two-digit hexadecimal numbers.
