9.2.
Settings
For good sweeping results a correct setting of the following:
•
the suction mouth,
•
the brush angle, and
•
the brush pressure
is essential.
9.2.1.
Adjusting the suction mouth
The degree of suction power is influenced by the setting of the suction mouth.
The distance between the suction mouth and the road surface is determined by the guide wheel
attached to the suction mouth. With the guide wheel on the ground, this distance should be approx.:

at the
back
(see fig. 23).
The rubbers must connect properly and must not be worn to maintain good suction power. Replace
the rubbers when the opening to the road surface becomes too large.
9.2.2.
Adjusting the brush angle
The brushes can be set at a forward and sideways angle in relation to the surface that has to be
swept. The correct setting depends on several circumstances such as the condition of the litter, the
surface or the brush wear.
