9.1.
Checkpoints before sweeping
A fixed number of points must be checked every day before the vehicle is used. This is done to
ensure that risks are kept to a minimum once the vehicle is being operated.
1)
Leaks
Check that no oil, fuel and/or water is leaking from the vehicle. Take a tolerable margin into
account.
Contact a technician in the event of leaks.
2)
Motor oil level
Check the motor oil level with the dipstick. The stick is located on the side of the diesel engine.
The oil level must be between the marks on the dipstick.
If the level deviates, contact a technician.
3)
Coolant level
Check the coolant level when the engine is cold. The reservoir is
mounted on the rear of the cabin. The level must be visible between
the markings (fig. 22).
If the level deviates, contact a technician.
4)
Diesel oil level
On the fuel tank gauge on the master instrument (see § 3.6.1 and §
3.6.2) check whether the fuel volume in the diesel tank is sufficient.
Fill up if necessary.
