5.6.
Emptying the rubbish hopper
When the rubbish hopper contains excess water, this can be drained off by opening the discharge
opening (the folded-up rubber hose) on the right hand side of the vehicle.
The operator must be absolutely sure that
•
during tipping or lowering of the rubbish hopper, and
•
during opening or closing of the tailboard
no other persons are in the vicinity of the vehicle.
If the operator has not ascertained this, every movement of the vehicle must be
stopped. There is a risk that someone may become trapped between the rubbish
hopper and the frame or between the tailboard and the hopper. Also injuries can
occur when the tailboard hits people during opening or closing.
•
Never tip a filled rubbish hopper without first having opened the tailboard! If the
hopper is filled to such a degree that tipping with closed tailboard could be
unsafe, tipping is automatically blocked. To enable further tipping in this
situation, the tailboard has to be opened first.
•
Tipping is prohibited while the vehicle is parked on a gradient!
•
The vehicle may not be driven with a tipped hopper!
