5.2.
Start sweeping
1)
Bring the vehicle to a halt.
2)
Put the forward / reverse selector in neutral (N).
3)
Switch on the vehicle lights, if necessary.
4)
Switch on the work lights, if necessary.
5)
Engage the master switch.
This simultaneously activates:
- the suction fan
- the
warning
beacon
- the water pump (suction mouth sprayers)
- lowering of curb brushes and suction mouth
- rotating of curb brushes
If the master switch is not used, the various functions can also be activated
individually.
6)
Adjust the engine speed (1200-1400 revs/min).
7)
Check and set the brush speed.
8)
Check the water level.
9)
Engage the outside sprayers, if required.
10)
Move the brushes in the desired position by means of the joystick (fig. 5, no. 5).

Use the forward / reverse selector on the wheel to set the driving direction (fig. 1, no.

12)
Gently push in the accelerator.
The vehicle will move slowly forward.
When the fan is engaged, the diesel engine speed no longer responds to the
accelerator pedal. The accelerator pedal now only regulates the sweeping/driving
speed. This sweeping/driving speed is automatically limited.
