Standard Feature Buttons
The DP200 Display Phone has five standard Feature
buttons.
Mute
—Press the
MUTE
Feature button to turn off the
microphone in your handset. This prevents the caller from
hearing you or background noise.
Flash
—Press the
FLASH
Feature button to gain access to
advanced features such as Park, Forwarding, and so on.
Many of these advanced features can be set up as Feature
buttons on the DP200 Display Phone. Press
FLASH
to
cancel a transfer if the person at the other extension does
not answer. You must press
FLASH
before you make an
internal call if you enable Direct External Dial Tone. For
complete instructions, see “Making an External Call,”
page 14, or “Basic Operation,” page 11.
Voice Mail
—Press the
VOICE
Feature button to gain
access to your new and old Voice Mail. For complete
instructions, see “Voice Mail,” page 49.
Redial
— Press the
REDIAL
Feature button to dial the
previous number dialed. This feature is for external calls
only.
Hold
—Press the
HOLD
Feature button to place the
selected line on Hold. The status lamp for the selected line
blinks, indicating the Hold status. To take a call off Hold,
press the blinking line button once.
Custom Feature Buttons
The DP200 Display Phone has 12 Custom Feature buttons.
Each Feature button has a system default setting. However,
you can set up the features you use the most by dialing a
two-digit code, and then following the voice prompts. See
“Customizing Feature Buttons,” page 34, or “Feature
Buttons and Access Codes,” page 75.
