7. Talkback
7.1 General
Talkback connects a defined talkback source to an output while a
talkback switch is pressed.
Several methods may be used to give talkback to an output.
•
Long push on the CUE switch on a destination fader
•
Long push on the CUE switch on a source fader
•
Push on a dedicated talkback switch
These methods are all equal.
7.1.1 Talkback on destination CUE switches
When the CUE switch is pushed, the talkback is directed to the
destination shown in the display. This assumes that talkback to this
destination is allowed in the configuration.
7.1.2 Talkback on source CUE switches
When the CUE switch is pressed, the console checks the source
properties to find a link to any talkback destination.
If a talkback destination is found, talkback is activated.
7.1.3 Dedicated talkback switches
The talkback panel is an addition to the talkback by cue switches.
A number of configurable destinations are given fixed switches to
extend the number of talkback destinations.
These switches are freely programmable, and can be assigned to any
talkback destination during configuration.
Short pushes toggles while long pushes are momentary.
