4.4 Equaliser panel
4.4.1 General
All channels can have an equaliser switched into the circuit. Various
equaliser algorithms with different controls requires different panels.
The equaliser panel described is the assignable equaliser panel.
Dedicated equaliser strips may have other controls.
4.4.2 Equaliser controls
•
Level adjustment rotary control
•
Level light bar
•
Frequency adjustment rotary control
•
Frequency light bar
•
Illuminated Q-value switch
•
The equaliser panel contains 4 similar sections.
If the main assign panel equaliser switch is inactive the complete
equaliser panel is inactive.
The level adjustment rotary control adjusts the level at the given
frequency between given limits for the assigned channel.
The centre frequency is adjusted between given limits by the
frequency rotary control.
While the Q-value switch is active adjustments on the frequency
rotary control adjusts the Q-value for the equaliser section.
The number of LEDs in the frequency light bar that is on indicates
this.
A low Q-value will have a broad frequency array while the highest Q-
value will have only one LED illuminated.
4.4.3 Equaliser section in assign window
In the assign window channel diagram the curves of the equaliser are
shown as an icon. A passive icon indicates equaliser bypass.
