Adjusting the Horizontal Setup

The TLS 216 Logic Scope lets you scale (change the time base) and position
waveform groups horizontally on the screen. To perform these basic operations,
you use the horizontal knobs and menu.

This article describes how to check the current horizontal setup and how to use
the horizontal controls to scale, position, select a main or delayed time base, set
the trigger position, set the group record length, and make other horizontal
settings.

To Scale and Position

You can adjust the horizontal scale and position of waveform groups in the
display from the front panel without accessing menus.

To horizontally scale (size) any waveform group displayed, turn the Horizontal
SCALE knob. (See Figure 3-1).

Changing the horizontal scale changes the time base, or time per division setting.
By changing the horizontal scale, you can horizontally spread the particular
portion of the waveform on which you wish to focus over more of the display
screen.

To horizontally position any waveform group displayed, turn the Horizontal
POSITION knob. (See Figure 3-1).
