To Trigger on a Pattern
If you want to trigger on a pattern that goes TRUE (as defined by the logic
selected), you must do the following tasks.
Define the Pattern by specifying the logic levels against which the inputs are
compared. Each “bit” in the pattern is a logic HIGH (H), LOW (L), or Don’t
Care (X) that corresponds to one logic scope input. (The inputs are channels 1
through 16 and the Auxiliary trigger.)
Define the Boolean Requirement by specifying that the comparison logic be
AND, NAND, OR, or NOR. (See Table 3–6 on page 3–131 for the Boolean
requirement associated with each logic function.)
Time Qualify the Pattern Trigger by specifying the time or range of time that the
inputs must meet the Boolean requirement.
