TLS 216 User Manual
In Auto mode the logic scope triggers an acquisition after a specific time has
elapsed even if a trigger event does not occur. The amount of time the logic
scope waits depends on the time base setting.
In Normal mode the logic scope acquires only if there is a valid trigger.
2. Press Holdoff (side). Enter the value (in percent) using the general purpose
knob or the keypad.
To set the trigger threshold of the currently selected source, do the following
steps.

2. Turn the general purpose knob or use the keypad to enter the voltage
threshold you want.
To set the trigger threshold for pulse triggers without accessing the trigger
menus, turn the TRIGGER THRESHOLD knob. (Main trigger system only.)
To turn on or off a trigger bar that moves vertically on screen to indicate the
threshold level you set, press DISPLAY

READOUT OPTION (main). Repeatedly press Trigger Bar Style
(side) to cycle among the Long, Short, and OFF settings.
To set the trigger threshold to a preset level appropriate for use with certain logic
families, press TRIGGER MENU

Set to TTL, Set to
+ECL, Set to –ECL, or Set to CMOS (side).
To copy the threshold you set to a group of inputs or to all the inputs, refer to the
general procedure To Set Trigger Thresholds on page 3–162.
To Trigger on a Glitch
To trigger on a glitch with a width narrower (or wider) than a time you specify,
do the following procedures.
To select glitch triggering and polarity, do the following steps.
1. Press TRIGGER MENU

2. Press Polarity (main)

Positive or Negative (side).
Glitch Positive looks at positive-going pulses.
