Figure 12 – TCG 01-G isolation zones

Transformer isolation via a DC-DC converter is used for the main power supply and for power to
each of the logic output-drive circuits. The serial communications interface is also separately

powered via the isolating DC-DC converter.
High-speed, fixed delay opto-isolators are used in each of the time-sensitive signaling paths.

The isolation does not degrade the time accuracy of the output signals, as the fixed delays of
the isolating components (together with the delay associated with the antenna lead-in) are all
internally compensated.
