120 Volt plug
Groundet pin
Groundet outlet
120 Volt machines have this kind
of three-prong plug at the end of a
three-wire electical cord. The
grounding pin on this plug
grounds the machine when it is
pluged into a three-prong outlet.
A grounding adaptor must be
installed as shown here if only two
prong outlets are available. The
outlet box must be groundend and
the grounding tab (or wire) must
be installed under the head of
screw in the center of the outlet
cover. 120 Volt plugs are
available at most hardwear
stores. Grounding adaptors are
not aproved for use in Canada.
- Replace the plug if the grounding pin is damaged or broken
- The green (or green/yellow) wire in the cord is the grounding wire.
When replacing a plug, this wire must be attached to the grounding
pin only.
- Extension cords connected to this machine should be 12 gauge,
three-wire cords with three-prong plugs and outlets. Do not use
extension cord more than 50 feet (15m) long.
Version for USA and Canada of the electrical connection
Connect to a properly gounded outlet only. See grounding instructions!
