3. Steering mode change
4. Emergency switch
1. Emergency transmission
Turn the emergency transmission switch ON with
the transmission at high position and the shift
lever at “N” position.
Moving the shift lever “D”, make sure that only “3”
of gear position indicator on combination meter
flashes (When the emergency transmission
switch is turned OFF, “D” and “1” flash).
Depressing the accelerator pedal slightly, move
the shift lever “1” to “2” and to “D”. Make sure that
the shift is changed according to the shift
operation.
[NOTICE]
During emergency transmission switch turned ON,
the overshift prevention function does not work.
Therefore operate the down shift while the vehicle
stops.
2. Emergency accelerator
Turn the emergency accelerator switch ON with
the shift lever is “N” position. Depressing the
accelerator pedal slightly, make sure that the
engine speed is 2665 ± 50min
-1
.
Change the steering mode switch to 4-wheel or crab steering.
Turn the steering wheel, and check the steering.
Check that the indicator in the right bottom of the instrument panel
is ON, except when rear wheels are out of straight-ahead
condition.
Make the rear wheels in the straight-ahead condition.
Check that the indicator is OFF.
Push the 2-wheel steering mode selector switch.
