About passwords used with Intel AMT
To reduce vulnerability of passwords to a dictionary attack, only strong passwords
are accepted by Intel AMT devices.
The strong password must meet the following criteria:

Be at least eight characters long. Characters allowed are 7-bit ASCII characters
in the values of 32-126 inclusive. The characters " ' , and : are not allowed.
■
Have at least one digit (Example: 0, 1, 2, ... 9).
■
Have at least one 7-bit ASCII non-alphanumeric character (Example: !, @, $).
■
Contain both upper and lower case Latin characters (Example: A, a, B, b).
Example: P@ssw0rd
Also, you are required to use strong passwords in the Symantec Management
Console when you configure Out of Band Management Component.
