About populating filters
In the Symantec Management Console, you can find a few filters (previously known
as collections) that display Intel AMT and ASF computers. However, all these
filters are populated in a different way.

Out of Band Management Component Intel AMT filters
Description Filter
This filter is populated by the Out of Band Task Agent that is
installed on the client computer. The agent detects Intel AMT
Remote Configuration capabilities of the target computers even
if Intel AMT is not configured or not enabled in BIOS. The agent
sends this information to the Notification Sever using the Altiris
Agent's basic inventory interval.

Configuration
This filter contains unconfigured computers that entered the
delayed configuration state.
This filter is populated by the Out of Band Task Agent that is
installed on the client computer. The agent sends this
information to the Notification Sever using the Altiris Agent's
basic inventory interval.

Intel AMT Computers in
Delayed Configuration
State
This filter is populated when the following occurs:

The resource synchronization has occurred that
synchronizes all Intel AMT computers known to Intel SCS
and currently in the Configured state with the CMDB .

■
You run the Get Out-of-Band Inventory task.
The task is a part of Real-Time Console Infrastructure and
can be found at Manage > Jobs and Tasks > System Jobs
and Tasks > Real-Time Console Infrastructure > Get
Out-of-Band Inventory.
You can run out-of-band management tasks on the computers
that are shown in this filter.
