• Apply engine oil to the new O-ring and install the generator

cover plug.

• Tighten the generator cover plug

 and valve timing inspec-

tion plug

 to the specified torque.

Generator cover plug: 16 N·m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.5 lb-ft)
Valve timing inspection plug: 

23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lb-ft)

• Install the generator cover cap

CLUTCH COVER

• Loosen the lock nut

 and turn in the release screw

 to feel

resistance.

• From that position, turn out the release screw

 1 turn and

tighten the lock nut

 securely by holding the release screw

• Install the dowel pins and gasket
