Optional Output
Brackets are used to signal output that should be populated only if at least one of the contained
variables is non-blank, or in the case of the quality field, bad quality. The following examples
makes both units and quality optional in measurement output:
MM/DD/YYYY,HH:MM:SS,<NAME>,<VALUE>[,<UNITS>,<Q>]\r\n
Optional fields may be nested.
