6-5 Power
Supply
The SuperServer 1025C-M3 has a 560 watt power supply, which is auto-switching
capable. This enables it to automatically sense and operate with a 100V to 240V
input voltage.
Power Supply Failure
If the power supply unit fails, the system will shut down and you will need to re-
place the unit (p/n PWS-562-1H). Replacement units can be ordered directly from
Supermicro (see contact information in the Preface). As there is only one power
supply unit in the SC113M chassis, power must be completely removed from the
server before removing and replacing the power supply unit for whatever reason.
Removing/Replacing the Power Supply (Figure 6-6)
Power down the server and unplug the power cord.
1.
Push the release tab (on the back of the power supply) as illustrated.
2.
Pull the power supply out using the handle provided.
3.
Replace the failed power module with the same model.
4.
Push the new power supply module into the power bay until you hear a click.
5.
Plug the AC power cord back into the module and power up the server.
6.
