Prepare the Fireplace Top Spacers
1.
The two (2) 9-3/8” standoff spacers on top of the fireplace cabinet are shipped flat (
Figure 8
).
2.
Bend the standoffs as shown (
Figure 8
).
3.
Align the holes in the standoff with the holes in the fireplace top, and secure with the supplied screws (
Figure 8
).

Route the Gas Supply Line into the Fireplace
1.
Route a 1/2” (13 mm) gas line to the left side of the fireplace (
Figure 9
).
2.
Route the gas line through the gas supply line access opening (
Figure 11
).

The gas supply line should not be connected to the appliance until step

Gas lines must be routed, assembled, and made of materials that are in strict accordance with local codes and
regulations. Never use galvanized or plastic pipe.

All codes require a shutoff valve mounted in the supply line.

for connecting the gas supply. The flex-line method is acceptable in the U.S., however, Canadian requirements
vary depending on locality. Installation must be in compliance with local codes. The provided gas-line shutoff
valve (located in the control compartment) is intended as a service shutoff. National and local codes may require
installation of a second gas-line shutoff valve (not provided) in a readily accessible location. Consult local codes. It
is the responsibility of the plumber to provide an accessible shutoff.
