7.1        General

                                                           If 

one single 

desk container is running within a system, this is called 

Single 

Desk Mode

. As a special case, a 

Split Desk 

may be located in the studio.

                                                           If 

two 

desk containers are running at the same time, this is called 

A/B Desk 

Mode

. In this mode, the primary (A) and secondary (B) desks act as two dif-

ferent consoles, sharing one common SCore.

                                                           The graphical user interface and the modules of each desk allow access to a 

reduced part of the common SCore’s resources. As a special case, the 

Parallel 

Desk

 allows access from 

both 

desks to 

all 

Score resources.

                                                           The Config GUI remains the same for both desks. It always allows access to 

all resources.
