OnAir 3000 Digital Mixing Console

5-4  Operation

SW V3.0

Parameters can be entered or modified there. The field displays the on/off 
status of the individual parts of the dynamics section: 

L

 = limiter, 

C

 = com-

pressor, 

E

 = expander, 

G

 = gate. A part is active if the symbol is marked green. 

The icon shows the on/off status of the whole dynamics section (colored: on, 
gray: off). 

                                              

Insert

  Touching this field opens the 

ROUT - Insert 

Routing Insert page on the main 

screen. The insert symbol is displayed if one of the inserts out of the insert pool 
is assigned to this channel (assignment is done in the Routing Insert page). 
The insert send is always active. The insert symbol is highlighted in yellow 
as long as the return is active. 

                                                 

Aux

  Touching this field opens the 

CHAN - AUX

 page on the main screen for 

entering or modifying parameters.

                                                           The four bar graphs indicate from top to bottom the current AUX1 to AUX4 

level values. If an AUX is off, the bar graph is displayed in gray. If 

PF

 is 

selected for an AUX, a bullet is visible at the left of the corresponding bar 
graph. If 

AF

 is selected, the bullet is visible at the right of the bar graph.

                                                 

N–X

 The 

N–X 

field displays the signal distribution of this channel to the 16 N–X 

buses. Settings are performed in the 

Sum - N–X

 pages. 

                                                           All N–X buses may alternatively be configured as AUX buses. In such a case, 

they are displayed in orange instead of in yellow color, and the AF/PF bullets 
are indicated as well, as described above.

                                                           All N–X buses may be renamed by the user if desired.
                                        

FDR Bus

  Touching this field opens the 

CHAN - FDR/Bus

 page on the main screen. 

Parameters can be entered or modified there.

                                                           Three symbols indicate the bus assignment for the main output buses: 

A

 = 

Program A, 

B

 = Program B, 

REC

 = Record. If the symbol is colored, the 

channel is assigned to the corresponding bus. Of course, all main output buses 
may be renamed by the user if desired.

                                                           The 

PAN

 or 

BAL

 bar graph below represents the current panning or balance 

value. If 

PAN

 or 

BAL

 is set to off, the bar graph indication is displayed in 

gray. A label in the left part of the bar graph shows 

BAL

 for stereo inputs or 

PAN

 for mono Inputs.

                                                 

PAN

  Touching this field opens the 

CHAN - 5.1 PAN

 page and allows positioning 

a mono or stereo sound source within the surround space. The current source 
position is indicated by a red dot. 

This field is displayed only if the 5.1 channel 

surround option is installed and surround pannning mode is configured. 

                                               

Label

  The label field shows the name of the selected input source in the upper line. 

If configured, the label field can also display a label provided by an external 
ProBel router.

                          

“

Next” indication:  

This function allows the user to emphasize the next channel to go on air by 
changing its label’s background color to 

green 

(this is sometimes also referred 

to as “eraser emulator”). To do this, just touch the label field. Only one chan-
nel can be emphasized at a time. The tag is removed as soon as the channel is 
opened by moving the fader up and switching the channel on. Neither audio 
signals nor internal functionality are affected by this function.

                 

Input Fader Stopwatch

  Since SW V2.1 every logical input indicates an individual input fader stop-

watch in the lower line of the label field, if configured. This is in addition to 
the global fader stopwatch display on the main screen indicating for how long 
the most recently opened channel has been open.

                          

Master indication:  

If faders are configured as a group, Aux, or master faders, their channel fields 
looks as shown in the right part of the screenshot on 

page 5-2

however, remains visible.
