5. Maintenance
The cutting table should be cleaned daily from cutting waste.
Check the amount and condition of coolant and refill or change if
necessary.
The spindle/bushing where the cut-off wheel is mounted should be
oiled with acid-free oil once a week.
The cooling unit should be checked for cooling water after 8 hours
use or at least every week. The unit must be refilled if the flushing
pump cannot reach the cooling water. Remember to add Struers
Additive for Cooling Fluid, Corrozip:
One part of Additive for 33 parts of water.
To check the concentration of additive, use a refractometer.
Concentration = 1.9 x Brix value.
The concentration of additive should always lie between 2.7 and 3.3
%. Add Corrozip if the concentration is too low.
The hinges of the shield or manual cutting table should be oiled with
acid-free oil if necessary.
The cover for the drain hole can be removed for cleaning if required.
Remember to grease the cover with silicon grease before replacing
(to prevent water seepage).
Daily Service
IMPORTANT
Flush the recirculation system with clean water if Secotom is not to be used
over longer periods of time.
This will prevent any dried residue of cutting material from damaging the
inside of the pump.
