commissioning
11. commissioning
11.1 checks before commissioning
Prior to commissioning the air conditioning system, installation
work on the wall mounted air conditioning appliance and on the
external unit must be completed. Also observe the external unit
installation instructions.
Ensure that all the following work has been completed:
- The mounting plate has been correctly fitted and secured, to
prevent vibrations during operation. The wall has sufficient
load-bearing capacity.
- All refrigerant lines have been checked for tightness.
- Both the connection points in the refrigerant lines and the
valves have thermal insulation to prevent vapour diffusion, to
avoid condensate formation and freezing up.
- The wall outlets are filled with liquid-resistant insulation ma-
terial, and are professionally sealed.
- The earth conductor has been professionally checked.
- The shafts on the service valves are fully open.
- The power supply is assured.
11.2 commissioning
11.2.1 carrying out a trial run
f
Conduct a trial run and test all functions.
If the function tests do not yield the results described, despite
correct installation, you must inform our customer service centre
for troubleshooting.
11.2.2 Function test “remote control signal reception”
f
Switch the remote control ON.
f
Check the functional ability of the remote control and the
correct signal transmission to the internal appliance.
f
Check whether the internal appliance emits a signal to ac-
knowledge the signals sent.
During the function test, observe start delays that may occur
through internal protection circuits.
12. appliance handover
Explain the handling and functions of the appliance to the user.
Draw special attention to the safety information and necessary
maintenance intervals. Hand these instructions and any other
appliance documentation to the user. Inform the user that these
instructions should be kept in the proximity of the appliance.
13. troubleshooting
13.1 Protection mechanisms inside the appliance
The compressor starts with a three-minute delay.
A temperature limiter is fitted to the compressor, which blocks
the compressor at excessive temperatures (>115 °C) until the
temperature has fallen again (<100 °C). The compressor starts with
a three-minute delay. If the compressor is at 115 °C for longer
than five seconds, it will be blocked until the temperature drops
to 90 °C.
The electronic assemblies are equipped with electronic monitoring
facilities for excess voltage, excess current and excess temperature.
If any of these functions responds, a corresponding fault code is
shown on the internal appliance display.
All sensors are tested for short circuits and lead breaks.
14. Fault table
In case of a fault, never continue to use the air conditioning system.
Trip the MCB or disconnect the fuse. Contact our customer service.
State the model designation and describe the problem.
