Fuselage Continued
40. Pass the pushrod housing through the lower
left
holes in formers F16 and
F9, leaving about 1/4 in. extending from the front of F9. Bond the housing to
the formers and exit slots with small drops of medium CA.
41. Repeat the process outlined in steps 39 and 40 to install the other housing,
passing it through the forward exit slot on the
right
side, and the upper
right
holes in F16 and F9.
42. Give the fuselage an overall light sanding.
43. Remove the protruding tabs at the front of the wing saddle.
44. Round the corners of the nose to a pleasing shape.
45. With a sharp hobby knife or razor plane, carve down the majority of the rear
wing mount block, then sand down until you achieve a smooth transfer from
the fuselage side to the stringers.
Note: If the model is intended to be used for training purposes, the top of the
mounting block should be sanded down until it is flush with the wing saddle,
thus allowing the wing to pop off during a less than perfect return to earth,
without damaging the wing or fuselage at this point.
46. Sand the rear portion of the stringers flush across the top of former F17.
Electronics Hatch
47. Assemble the hatch sheeting from parts H1a, H1b, and H1c.
