15. Fit and tack glue the “instrument panel” F13 to F11 fuselage side
immediately behind the nose doublers.
16. Repeat steps 11,12, and 13 to build and install the
left
fuselage side F14.
17. Fit and bond radio compartment doubler F15 to
left
fuselage side and
formers F2 and F9.
18. Square the assembly on a flat surface and final bond all mating surfaces
between formers, fuselage sides, central crutch etc. with thin CA.
DO NOT
fit or bond the
upper
portion of the fuselage sides to the
upper
portion of
former F9. this will be done at a later step.
19. Fit and tack glue former F16 to the notches midway back in the rear portion
of the fuselage, behind former F9.
20. Fit and tack glue former F17 to the last set of notches in the rear portion of
the fuselage sides.
21. Fit and tack glue stabilizer support F18 to notches at the top/rear rear of the
fuselage sides.
22. Fit fuselage spine F19 to formers F9 and F16, resting the rear portion
centered within the shallow notch in the top of former F17. Tack glue with
medium CA.
23. Fit the wing saddle F20 to the tops of formers F2, F10, and F9.
Tack glue
to former F2 only, leaving the rest of the wing saddle un-glued to allow
for adjustment when the fuselage sides are wrapped around former F9.
