Fuselage Continued
7.
Repeat the process from “Step 6” for F7
,
applying thick CA (or aliphatic
wood glue) to F5 and fitting F7 to tabs extending through F5. Hold F7 flush
with F5 until the glue cures.
8.
Fit F8 to F2 allowing rear portion of F8 to float above F1 about 3/4 in.
9.
Now, fit former F9 to the rear of F1 and F8. Tack glue part F8 to F9 and F3.
Tack glue part F1 to F9.
10. Fit former F10 through the slots in the middle of F8, and tab into F1. Tack
glue in place.
11. Assemble fuselage side F11 from parts F11a, F11b, and F11c. Bond with
thin CA.
12. Fit and bond uprights F11d and F11e to window area of fuselage side.
13. Test fit F11 to the
right
side of the fuselage
assembly then remove. Coat the
outside of fuselage doubler F6 with thick CA (or aliphatic wood glue), and fit
fuselage side to the
right
side of the fuselage. Ensure all tabs fit properly,
and tack glue the fuselage side to the central crutch structure.
DO NOT
bend the fuselage side around the
upper
portion of former F9 at this
time. This will be done at a later step.
14. Fit and bond radio compartment doubler F12 to
