MAINTENANCE GUIDE

ERROR/STATUS

This printer is able to detect 10 different printer error conditions. The error/status code corresponding to each one
is described below.

2.1 List of Error/Status Codes

FRONT COVER

E4:OPEN COVERS

A paper jam has occurred in the exit sensor section.

CLEAR PAPER JAM

A paper jam has occurred between the pre-regi. sensor

CLEAR PAPER JAM

and the exit sensor. (PRE-REGI. JAM)

E2:OPEN COVERS

A paper jam has occurred between the input tray and the

EP CARTRIDGE

The EP toner cartridge is not installed.

A FUSER PAUSE command is being received in on-line
mode.

The paper size set in non-volatile mode differs from the size
of the paper that is being fed into the printer.
