Signal Wire Name

Reference

EP Check ON(L) 5VDC

This signal detects the presence of the EP toner cartridge. (The signal is
low when the EP toner cartridge is present and high when the EP toner
cartridge is not present.)

5VDC-LD

This is the LD power supply to the LD assembly in the ROS assembly.

*1:

The projection on the EP toner cartridge presses on the CRU actuator and turns on the CRU switch and LD switch.

Warning:

The LD switch is a safety switch which prevents exposure to the laser beam. Do not remove the EP
toner cartridge if both the interlock switch and the LD switch are short circuited and the laser beam
is being emitted.
You may lose your eyesight if your eyes are exposed to the laser beam.
Be sure to follow the instructions in this manual when working on this printer.
