3D Transition Effect block: IC3, IC4
This block writes the video/key signals sent from the Pre Video Effect block to the DDR4 SDRAM, reads the
video/key signals from the address for 3D Linear Transform generated in the block, and then performs interpolation
processing. Thus a picture transformed by 3D Linear Transform is generated.
Furthermore, this block performs the following effect processing using the generated address for 3D Linear Transform.
• Non-linear Effect
• Lighting
• Art Edge
• Spot Light Key generation
• Flex Shadow Key generation
This block consists of two devices (IC3, IC4). IC3 and IC4 perform the same processing.
IC3 performs SubImage1/2 (A/B) processing for 4K 2SI, and IC4 performs SubImage3/4 (C/D) for 4K 2SI.
Post Video Effect block: IC5
This block adds the following effect processing to the video/key signals sent from the 3D Transition Effect block.
• Spot Light synthesis
• Flex Shadow synthesis
• Dim/Fade
• Recursive (including Trail/Wind)
• Graphic
For 4K 2SI, this block receives multiple signals processed by the DVP-68 board and performs the following Global
Effect processing.
• Combiner Priority
• Brick
• Shadow
The video/key signals to which effect processing has been added are sent to the cross point block as SDI signal at the
final stage of this block.
