8.6.3.3. Transport geometry parameters page
The Transport Geometry Parameter Page indicates whether there is a Medium
Transport Element shared by the autoloader robotics, and whether there is a
mechanism to invert a tape cartridge. One Transport Geometry Descriptor
contains the information for Medium Transport Elements starting from the First
Medium Transport Element.
Table 8.6.3.3.1 : Transport geometry parameters page
A Parameters Savable (PS) bit of 1 indicates that there is a function to save this
Mode Page in non-volatile memory. Because the data in this Mode Page is
fixed, the PS bit is always 0.
The Parameter Length is the number of bytes in the following Transport
Geometry Descriptor. The Medium Transport Element Descriptor comprises 2
bytes.
A Rotate bit of 1 indicates that the Medium Transport Element has a function to
invert a double-sided recordable media. Because the autoloader does not
support this function, it is 0.
The Member Number indicates the position of this Medium Transport Element
within the Medium Transport Elements shared by the robotics. Because the
autoloader only has one Medium Transport Element, this is always 0h.
