8.5. MODE SELECT(6) Command (15h)
The MODE SELECT(6) command provides to the host with functions used to
set various autoloader parameters. Before the host issues the MODE SELECT
command, it issues a MODE SENSE command to check the Page, Page Length,
and other parameters supported by the autoloader.
Table 8.5.1 : MODE SELECT(6) command
The autoloader supports the same Page(s) for all hosts.
When a host sends a MODE SELECT command and changes a parameter that
applies to another host, the autoloader generates a UNIT ATTENTION
CONDITION for all hosts other than the host that issued the MODE SELECT
command. The autoloader sets ASC/ASCQ to MODE PARAMETERS
CHANGED.
When the Page Format (PF) bit is 0, the MODE SELECT parameters are the
same as specified for SCSI-1. (All the parameters except the vendor-specific
Block Descriptor are transferred.) When the PF bit is 1, the MODE SELECT
parameters follow the Parameter List Header.
