3-2-7 Undoing and Redoing an Editing Operation (Undo/Redo)
After editing operations such as inserting or deleting a cut, you can undo the
effect of the edit. After undoing an edit, you can then redo it.
Undoing the effect of an edit
When you use the MAVE-F555 to carry out editing on a file on an MAV-555
port, as you execute each edit a new editing result file is created. After
executing an edit, the immediately previous file is held on the MAV-555,
provided the MAV-555 is not powered off. You can thus undo the effect of the
most recent editing operation.
Note
• When you change the file on the recorder port, this destroys the information
required for an Undo/Redo.
• When you power off the MAV-555, the file from before the last edit saved on
the MAV-555 is destroyed. Therefore, once you power off the MAV-555 it is
no longer possible to undo the last edit.
• When you undo an edit this does not restore information such as the IN and
OUT points when you did a copy. The only effect is to return the editing
result file to its state before the last editing operation.
