3. Using a clean finger (not a brush), smear a light film of Vaseline all over the surface of the
O-ring only (do not smear Vaseline into the endcap grooves).
4. Fit the O-ring onto the endcap, ensuring that the O-ring is not twisted (the moulding line on the O-
ring, must be straight).
5. Always fit the outermost O-ring first, then roll the second O-ring over the first O-ring (this
minimises the risk of damaging the innermost O-ring).
6. Before assembly, apply a light even film of petroleum jelly to the O-ring mating surface (the
housing bore).
Note
There should be no visible lumps of petroleum jelly on the O-ring or the mating bore.
