Connecting the Battery (Optional)

WARNING!

Before connecting the battery to the inverter, power off the battery.

SolarEdge Energy Bank

1. Toggle off the battery ON/OFF/P switch.

2. Turn off the battery circuit breaker.

LG Chem Prime Battery

Turn off the circuit breaker.

Use the following cable types:

- a pair of DC cables - 10 AWG (10-12 AWG), 600V insulated.

Communication

(for LG Chem batteries only)

- 24 AWG (16-24 AWG), 600V insulated

or CAT6

To connect communication (for LG Chem batteries only):

1. Connect the communication cable to the battery's RS485 connector as shown below.

2. Open Communication Gland 2 at the bottom of the inverter's Safety Unit.

3. Feed the other end of the communication cable through one of the gland openings.

4. Remove the connector from the port labeled
