Set the four ink packs.
To switch 8-color mode to 4-color mode:

Charge the ink system with ink.

Replace the four dummy subcartridges with the four subcartridges.

Knob screws
Open the subcartridge cover.
Loosen the two knob screws on the subcartridge cover
and open the subcartridge cover.

Subcartridges to be removed
Remove the dummy subcartridges of the color
replacement set.
To switch 8-color mode to 4-color mode:
Remove the subcartridges for Lm2, Gy4, Lc6, and Lg8.

Remove the subcartridges for M2, K4, C6, and Y8.
