Information on DP "UPnP localization"
If you set "UPnP localization = Ethernet" and if the Ethernet connection between PC/laptop and
central communication unit is active, the central communication unit signals "its presence on the
network".
The Network Connections symbol then appears in the taskbar and in the Network Connections folder
on the PC/laptop. Click the Network Connections symbol to display important network connections. In
addition, the corresponding ports are opened in the Windows firewall.
Note: You must allow for display of the Network Connections symbol on the PC/laptop; see Help on
network connections symbol in taskbar. This symbol provides direct access to the web server
OZW775 rather than the IP address.
Command sequence: Settings > Communication > E-mail
Data point
Explanation, example
Address mail server
Default val: smtp.example.com
Setting val: Internet Provider
Contact the Internet service provider for the mail
server's address (IP address) or name (domain).
Rather than mail server, we sometimes also
speak of outbound mail server or SMTP server,
as the central communication unit can only send
e-mails (outbound), and as SMTP transmission
protocol is used for sending via Ethernet
(SMTP: Simple Mail Transfer Protocol).
