Recommended commissioning
22.06.2012
Synco devices come with KNX device address 255. This address allows the devices
only to receive data via the KNX bus. For this reason, KNX device address between 1
and 250 (excluding 150) must be set for Synco devices.
Addressing Synco devices is a separate step during commissioning and is not directly
related to commissioning the central communication unit.
Synco devices on the KNX network must be addressed prior to creating the device list
in the central communication unit.
See document P3127 on how to address the devices on a KNX network.
Select the telephone service provider and modem depending on the message receiver.
If you use a GSM modem, make sure the SIM card allows for data communication and
is not protected by a PIN code.
2.2.4 Insert Ethernet card
The Ethernet card OZZ7E5 is used to communicate via Ethernet TCP/IP. The slot for
the Ethernet card on the central communication unit OZW775 is located to the right of
the removable cover (see pictures below).
Turn off AC 24 V operating voltage before inserting the Ethernet card in the
central communication unit OZW775!
Press cover snap to the left and
grab the cover on the left, lift and slide out.
Bend down and remove protective rim on cover
(free up access to RJ45 slot on Ethernet card).
Insert the Ethernet card in the right slot and push in card carefully.
Note:
Do not bend the pins when pushing in the card.
Put cover back on.
Note:
Remember to turn on again AC 24 V operating voltage.
