Prerequisites for sending e-mails:
•
Web server OZW775 is integrated properly in the network (IP address, IP
subnetwork address (subnet mask), default gateway, DNS server).
•
Web server OZW775 is connected to the mail server (SMTP server).
•
An Internet e-mail account is set up for web server OZW775.
•
The DSL routers are configured and connected to the Internet.
•
A receiver (or several) is/are configured in FB "Message receiver".
Some ISPs provide the Internet SMTP server free of charge; see Section 7.2.7 "Free e-
mail accounts".
The ISP provides address and port number. E-mail address sender, authentication,
user name, and password are assigned when a new e-mail account is opened.
The web server OZW775 does not support HTTPS (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol
Secure). The emails are sent unsecured and unencrypted, i.e. without:
SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)
Network protocol for secure data transmission.
TSL (Transport Layer Security) Protocol for encryption of data transmissions on the
Internet.
"Authentication mail server = Yes" checks unsecured, unencrypted information in the
data points "User name" and "Password" from the mail server for each email traffic.
